Overview
Resistors of Screw Mounting type have screws as the end terminals of the resistor. Using screws for mounting is common when resistors have to be attached to metallic surfaces. The resistive values can change when you loosen or tighten a screw. Read More
The electrical connection is typically established using M4 screws of 4-6 numbers and if necessary a washer of 1mm thickness. To improve thermal conductivity, surfaces in contact are laid on with silicon grease. Even single screw mount compact resistors are manufactured for small size devices.
These are a relatively new and innovative mounting type that are easy to uninstall and replace. Their biggest advantage is that several resistors can be connected in series without soldering.
