Overview
Radial type resistors have a mounting style in which the leads are emerging from the same side of the resistor. This is in contrast to axial resistors where the leads emerge from opposite sides. Read More
Power resistors are constructed with radial leads to maintain a safe distance between the mounting surface (PCB) and the resistor, to prevent heat transfer on to the device. These resistors may be silicon coated, vitreous enamelled or ceramic encased for insulation from heat. Their construction types may also vary from film resistors to wire wound.
Radial lead type of thin film resistors have very high resistance tolerance and the least temperature coefficient of resistance. They are typically mounted on insert type PCB boards.
Radial type resistors are widely used in:
KWK has a partnership with KRAH group, Germany and the Widap Group , Switzerland who are market leaders in the automotive and industry segment respectively.
KWK offers resistors with diverse construction and mounting options to suit customer specific requirements.
All our products are ROHS (Restriction of the Use of certain Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Equipment) compliant.
